The startup music is one of the easiest items to change in Ubuntu. In this post, I will show you how to do it step-by-step.

Step 1: Download file mystartup.wav and copy to /usr/share/sounds

Step 2: Select System -> Preferences -> Sound. This brings up the Sound Preferences applet

Step 3: Click on tab Sound

Step 4: Assign event Log in (the last item) to new music file (mystartup.wav), if you want to enjoy immediately, you can click on button Play and click Close to close the window.

Step 5: Logout and login again

You are talking about the log in music, not the "The startup music". Is it possible to turn of the startup music(I cant see it in the dialog you are showing us).

    Thanks:-)
